My name is Josh and in 2017 my wife, Michelle, and I made the decision to ditch our “normal” life that consisted of a house full of stuff, 2 cars, regular jobs, and a bunch of debt in exchange for a 30 foot travel trailer and a truck so we could head out on the open road and explore the U.S. with our two kids.

Why did we do this? We found ourselves stuck in the routine monotony of everyday life, living in a rut, thinking to ourselves, “Is this it?  Is this all there is? Get up, go to work, pay bills and set ourselves on auto pilot…for the next 40 years?”  NOPE! We’ll pass.

Now all this life change didn’t happen overnight, it took a fair bit of discussion, planning and a few reality checks here and there to make sure we weren’t completely insane.  And after many days of contemplation we had come to the conclusion that we were in fact only slightly insane.  All of that in conjunction with a little bit of courage to jump into the unknown has led us to our present situation.  This essentially was the creation of the Plan • Live • Inspire mentality.

As awesome as our adventure has been so far, this life isn’t without its stressful moments.  However those moments have been overshadowed by all of the incredible adventures we have had exploring the country, solidifying a strong family bond and creating irreplaceable memories that we will cherish forever.

With a strong emphasis on personal finance, my aim throughout this blog is to not only give further insight into the how and why we made the decision to live this way, but to also touch on the other aspects of our life including family, homeschooling, travel and all the other cool stuff we have learned along the way.  By documenting and sharing these things we hope to inspire you to live your life to the fullest and get out of your own rut.

If you stick around long enough, we hope you too will begin to see the amazing things that can happen in your own life if you Plan Your Future, Live Intentionally and Inspire Everyone!
