I’ve only visited a few cathedrals in my time traveling but I must say, the Cathedral of Saint Helena is absolutely incredible.  We spent about an hour admiring the architecture and the multitude of stained glass windows that lined the walls.  It was like walking through a work of art.

It was almost completely silent while we walked around the premises.  The ambient, peaceful cathedral music was the only thing that broke that silence.  While sitting in a pew I found myself at total peace gazing up at the ornate chandeliers that hung from the equally decorative ceiling.  I honestly could have stayed for another hour or so, but for those of you with children you know that there is a certain threshold for staying in one place for too long…and our youngest child’s need to find a restroom was upon us…sooooooo….
