It’s always a good idea to practice gratitude, especially today.  Some days I still have to remind myself to…let’s say…remove my cranium from my posterior when it comes to this practice.  It’s not that I am necessarily ungrateful for any particular thing in my life; it’s more that I simply wasn’t giving it that much thought.

Gratitude: (n) the quality or feeling of being grateful or thankful.

Ok, simple enough.  However, I’m not gonna lie, it’s not always easy to be mindful or intentional of being grateful or thankful…every…single…day.  Some days it feels like, well…everything kinda sucks, (especially if you have to commute to work, that could just blow the whole day right there.)  I just gotta suck it up and tell myself to snap out of it and like anything, if I want to get better; I have to practice, practice, practice.  By doing this I have found that gratitude has given me perspective, patience and most importantly, peace…or to put it another way…it chills me the EFFFFFF out.

Let’s have more gratitude moving forward.  Let’s remind ourselves of all the good things in our lives and the good that is in the world.  Let’s start looking for the positive instead of focusing on the negative.  Let’s practice gratitude in times of sadness, loneliness, stress, loss and in all of the tough times we may encounter.

Every day is the day to practice gratitude.

Happy Easter.
